From the outset of this project we were concerned with radio frequency interference (RFI) from local terrestrial sources and elsewhere.  At the same time, we tried to identify a suitable site that was not so far away that it would become difficult/impractical to service when required.  The following list of in-band sources of RFI is not exhaustive, but would probably account for the majority of problems that may be encountered onsite at Sunnydale.    The images indicate where the more regular RFI sources occur on our spectrometers (63, 57 & 60), as identified in the list.   The amount of RFI above 520MHz from multiple local digital TV broadcasts (DVB-T) and various 3G and 4G phone services prompted us to cap the upper frequency of the Phase 1 Spectrometer to 520MHz  some time ago.
